Ristorante Sughero

Excellent kitchen with a definite Sicilian theme, and absolutely fabulous service and atmosphere. Very much a local place, not at all touristy. (We were the only non-Italians there.)

Wonderful food, small family-owned establishment. Intimate dining experience with lovely service and a delicious seasonal menu. Highly recommend the fettuccine with guancale, artichoke, and mint.

The place is small but super cozy. The chef and owner is just great! We ate a few amazing dishes with explosive flavor Would have loved to try everything in the menu. We’ll come back for sure! Defo approved

Our first meal in Rome this time. It was confusing because I thought I made a reservation at Sughero, but this restaurant took over about 6 months ago and I guess just took over the name for review purposes. The food is creative Italian, not your standard fare, but more like riffs on standard Italian food. Very upscale food (and upscale prices for portion size), but for us it was worth the splurge for excellent food. The owner and server were very nice and accommodating.

We went with the chef menu for €35 for 4 courses. Good quality food with good service. Only one server was around but he was quick and efficient. The bread basket had assortment of different types of bread, didn't manage to snap a picture but trust me you wont stop eating it. Sughero is a restaurant that is worth visiting. Really loved that we had quality and delicious food with 2 bottles of wine for about €50 p.person. The show stoper for me was the sweet ending, the chocolate soup, it deserves 6 stars.

We had a 6 course menu here for our 10 years anniversary and it was a successful end of our trip to rome. The restaurant and service deserve 10 stars! high class! i really recommend the fishtatar with olive oil ice cream! and if you decide a four or six courses i really recommend the "Chef's choices" you cant go wrong! the bread was self made and sooo good! we even got a little pack of the caraway bread because we said how delicious it was. thank you so much for this awesome dinner and evening!

This fish restaurant is a little gem, hidden away in the north of the city. All the more reason to search it out. The waiters/manager are knowledgeable about the source of their ingredients and how they are cooked. The meals are exquisitely prepared and presented, with subtle and sometimes unexpected flavour combinations. The wines are all first class too. I really felt that I was treated like a VIP.

This was the best restaurant we visited in Italy, no doubt whatsoever. It's hard to capture the excellence in every part of the experience. First, the service is very intimate, friendly, professional, and timely. We felt comfortable there, but were also benefited from the expertise of the server. The food, oh the food. We did the chef's special and were not disappointed! It was four courses of perfection. The portion size as a whole was perfect too. Before the first course, we were given homemade bread of various sorts. After dessert, we were given truffle chocolates too. We only tried one wine, which was upon recommendation of the server. It was probably one of the best whites I've had, and paired wonderfully with the food. Another win. The food is prepared by one person in the back for your table. This was of course a very appreciated aspect of the restaurant for us. (There was only seating for about 25 people total.) However, one table had difficulty because they wanted to do the chef's menu and make a substitute for only one member of their party, which was not possible. Strongly strongly recommended. Take the 45 min walk from downtown even, it's a beautiful walk and Sughero is in a beautiful neighborhood. Enjoy!
